Time:Line is the result of a train research venture I engaged in during the summer of 2012. I traveled the entirety of the Empire Builder line, which goes from Chicago to Portland, OR. The train contains retired folks traveling through the scenic west, hydraulic fracturing workers traveling from their costal or midwest homes to North Dakota and a variety of other people. The train travels from the crossroad of the midwest and reaches its destination in the stumptowns of the pacific.
